We had a great race on Saturday, and I’m very proud of all of you! The Stage Races was just the beginning for this team and I can’t wait to see what you do the rest of the year.
We will plan to go to KM this afternoon, unless the weather intervenes.

We have changed the departure time to 5:15 AM to give us a few more minutes of rest. PLEASE BE ON-TIME! Bring some money for lunch in case we stop. We should be home by 2:00P. We will let the athletes know when we are 30 min from home so they can call for a ride.

Banquet and the next week

-We will have our kickoff banquet tonight at 7:00 PM in the Allatoona Cafeteria. Please remember all of your forms and fees.

-Big Peach Running Company in Kennesaw will be giving us a 15% discount on anything in the store for our runners and family this Saturday the 22nd-Saturday 8/29. Please be sure to tell them you are an Allatoona HS runner.

-Our first meet, the Stage Races, is a GO for next Saturday.

-Meet information (who is racing what race and the times) is up!

-Next week we will be taking the bus to practice on Monday and Wednesday. We will stay at the school Tuesday and Friday. We will not practice on Thursday 8/27 because of Open House.

-We will have a Booster Club meeting on 9/2. The Run-A-Thon will be 9/4. Please bring your money on that day.

-Thanks again to Les Crippen and all the parents and athletes who worked on the trail again last Saturday. The trail looks GREAT!

-We had a good, solid time trial on Wednesday. Download results here:

-Keep checking the website regularly, as we are continually updating calendars and schedule.

Thanks again to everybody who came out and helped with our trail on Saturday. I’d like to give special thanks to Les Crippen, who has been instrumental in putting all of this together. We are planning another workday next Saturday at 9:30A on the trails.
Our new schedule and training calendars are posted. Please have a look at them and note any changes.
We will meet on-campus all week. Monday after school, meet at my office so you can change clothes. We will lock all your stuff in a classroom.
